Job Description

Lockheed Martin’s Ocala Operations is a manufacturing facility spanning over 340,000 square feet. They specialize in building circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and electronic assemblies for missiles and fire control systems.

Job Duties:

• Develop and implement Manufacturing Process Plans (MPPs) for a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Utilize basic drafting and software programs to design MPPs, tooling, support equipment, and process flows.
• Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing operators to facilitate assembly performance.
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce costs and increase yields.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate within a team environment.
• Investigate the root cause of failures/defects and implement corrective action to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college, OR a Bachelor’s degree in the same disciplines with two years of experience.
• US Citizenship is required for this position due to special access requirements at the facility.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques.
• Basic skills in 3D modeling software like Solidworks and experience with 3D Printing prototyping.
• Understanding of Root Cause/Corrective Action principles.
• Data analytics experience.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma.

Additional Information:

• This position is located at a facility requiring special access.
