CTE Intern | Keysight Technologies
The Tone:
This is a one-year internship at Keysight Technologies, located in Santa Rosa, CA. Keysight is a 15,000-employee organization at the forefront of technology innovation, delivering insights in electronic design, simulation, prototyping, test, manufacturing, and optimization for diverse markets. This role is essential for supporting various functions within a manufacturing environment, contributing directly to the production, quality, and material flow of world-class solutions. The intern will play a critical part in maintaining operational efficiency and product integrity.
The TL;DR

• Mission: This role ensures smooth manufacturing operations through support in production, materials handling, testing, and quality inspection.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Execution: Determine and follow techniques and operations for the fabrication, assembly, and testing of Keysight products and sub-assemblies.
• Materials Coordination: Coordinate material movement, receive, store, distribute, and maintain inventory accuracy, including kitting for production.
• Quality Inspection: Perform inspections of sub-assemblies or final Keysight products, interpreting technical drawings and lists to approve or reject items.
• Process Support: Produce set-ups and adjustments to equipment or production processes, and provide training to other Manufacturing Operations Support employees.
• Data & Record Keeping: Enter data into and access information from enterprise resource planning (ERP) and Shop Floor Control Production/Test tracking systems, and maintain records and databases for tracking.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student in senior year of high school with expected successful graduation by the end of the 2020-2021 school year; Demonstrated understanding of various manufacturing environment duties.
• Experience: Ability to function with a high level of responsibility, use good judgment, and understand the impact of decisions; Possesses attributes of Curiosity, Empathy, Communication, Collaboration, Ethics, and Initiative as outlined in the Sonoma County Portrait of a Graduate.
• Skills: Ability to interpret manufacturing prints, drawings, diagrams, and lists; Proficiency in data entry and information access within enterprise resource planning (ERP) and Shop Floor Control systems; Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team; Willingness to learn, a positive attitude, dedication, and job/shift flexibility.
