Manufacturing Maintenance Specialist Intern Job Description
Texas Instruments is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Specialist Intern to join their team in South Portland, Maine. In this role, you will be responsible for performing planned preventive maintenance and basic corrective actions on equipment as scheduled. You will also work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams across the fab to ensure all issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Execute scheduled maintenance: Follow established maintenance procedures to ensure equipment is properly maintained.
• Track and assemble parts: Identify and gather all necessary parts ahead of time to ensure smooth completion of maintenance tasks.
• Complete qualifications: Ensure equipment is properly qualified and ready for production after maintenance.
• Track critical data: Collect and analyze data from maintenance activities to identify improvement opportunities for preventive maintenance performance.
• Perform routine maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance on production equipment to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Conduct preventive maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance procedures to proactively address potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
Minimum Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Hands-on experience with mechanical maintenance or repair
• Basic hand tool knowledge and experience
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in production maintenance
• Ability to read, understand, and create mechanical prints and schematics
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Strong interest in and ability to perform mechanical and maintenance activities on tool sets
• Commitment to working with highly standardized instructions
• Effective teamwork with engineering and manufacturing teams
• Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational and teaming skills
• Strong collaboration skills
• Initiative and drive for results
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Shift:
Work 12-hour shifts on a fixed, compressed schedule, allowing for 3-4 days off in a row with built-in overtime.
