Job Description: Manufacturing Intern – Mesa
This is an exciting 10-12 week summer internship opportunity in Mesa, Arizona, within Niagara’s manufacturing operations. Interns will be placed directly into a manufacturing department, working on high-impact projects in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The role encourages outside-the-box thinking and a continuous improvement mindset to approach challenges and develop solutions, providing hands-on experience relevant to the intern’s field of study.
Essential Functions of the Role:
• Gain Broad Understanding: Interns will rotate through multiple areas of the manufacturing plant to develop an overall understanding of the entire manufacturing process.
• Hands-On Experience: Provide direct support to plant team members, gaining hands-on experience with production methods, machines, and processes.
• Project Support: Assist with research on new and existing projects and provide support for major decision-making processes.
• Problem Solving: Receive intellectual and creative opportunities to tackle specific problems and develop proposed solutions.
• Collaboration & Communication: Attend department meetings, action plan based on feedback, and learn to collaborate and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Presentation: Create and deliver a presentation to department leadership detailing the internship experience, projects undertaken, and outcomes achieved.
Qualifications:
• Minimum Required:
• Experience: 0 years of experience in the field, a similar manufacturing environment, or in a position managing people/projects. (Experience may include a combination of work experience and education).
• Education: Currently a Junior/Rising Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience: 2 years of experience in the field, a similar manufacturing environment, or working in a position managing people/projects. (Experience may include a combination of work experience and education).
