Job Description: Manufacturing Intern (Summer Internship Program)
This is a highly motivated and enthusiastic Manufacturing Intern position for a summer internship program. The intern will gain hands-on experience across various manufacturing operations and receive valuable exposure to a dynamic manufacturing environment, fostering professional development.
Major Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assisting with day-to-day manufacturing operations under professional guidance.
• Participating in production and manufacturing activities for practical experience.
• Collaborating with safety, quality, and production teams on concerns and opportunities.
• Working with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting process enhancements.
• Adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
• Documenting and analyzing data related to production, quality metrics, efficiency, and performance.
• Engaging in training sessions and workshops to expand knowledge of manufacturing processes, technologies, team growth, and leadership skills.
• Shadowing and learning problem-solving methods from various management roles or departments (e.g., Production, Quality, Maintenance or Engineering, Environmental & Safety, Human Resources) and performing hands-on learning activities as directed.
• Performing any other duties assigned by the reporting supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in an Engineering, Business, or a Manufacturing-related field.
• Strong academic background with relevant coursework in manufacturing processes, operations management, or related disciplines.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and hourly associates and adapt to fast-paced manufacturing operations.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Travel may be required up to 10% per internship period.
• Physical ability to access all plant areas.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• This position is ineligible for hybrid work.
Compensation:
• A competitive hourly rate of $30.00.
