• Job Summary – Role: This is a Manufacturing Engineering internship position at GE Aerospace, designed for individuals interested in contributing to the future of flight, specifically within the manufacturing and assembly processes. The role aims to build a strong technical foundation in these areas, potentially encompassing key manufacturing operations, new product integration, new technology integration, continuous improvement initiatives, and cost reduction efforts. This internship is presented as an excellent foundational step for those aspiring to join GE Aerospace’s Manufacturing Engineering Development Program (MEDP) or Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP) after graduation.
• Essential Responsibilities: Interns will operate within GE Aerospace’s Manufacturing and Supply Chain organizations, characterized by passionate people, cutting-edge technology, and a culture of continuous improvement, all focused on delivering high-quality products. Interns are expected to gain hands-on experience and will:
• Learn and comprehend state-of-the-art manufacturing methods.
• Provide support for manufacturing and repair processes related to component hardware and/or overall engine assembly.
• Uphold high-quality standards through risk assessment, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and the application of statistical controls.
• Ensure safe working conditions by supporting Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives.
• Learn and apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to enhance productivity, ensure on-time delivery, improve process capability, and maintain stable operations in a complex environment.
• Support delivery efforts for sourced components by collaborating with internal shops and external suppliers, while simultaneously developing project management skills, negotiation skills, and business acumen.
• Qualifications/Requirements:
• A minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (without rounding).
• Current enrollment in a full-time, registered, and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program.
• Willingness and ability to work in any of the 35+ GE Aerospace U.S. locations.
• Reliable transportation, as many company sites do not have public transportation available.

• Pay rates for this position start at $20/hour, with increases for each completed undergraduate year.
