Job Description: Manufacturing Engineer Intern
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Intern
Department/Team: Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Department, within the Target Rock team.
Summary of the Role:
The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will be an integral part of the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Department, assisting engineers and CNC programmers. The role involves supporting standard production work through research into tooling, fixturing, and process planning. The intern will also gain hands-on experience by working directly with CNC machinists and programmers on capital equipment implementation tasks, under the guidance of the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor. Key learning areas include CNC programming, calculating feeds and speeds, designing fixtures, custom tooling designs, and methodization.
Location: East Farmingdale, NY.
Hourly Pay: $18-20 an hour.

Your Challenge (Key Responsibilities):
• Assist in organizing and documenting tool assembly.
• Assist in generating documentation for machine shop packages.
• Assist in generating CAD drawings.
• Organize manufacturing data files.
• Generate reports for non-conforming product.
• Assist in 3D model generation.
• Interface with Manufacturing and Engineering departments to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisors.
What You Bring (Required Qualifications and Skills):
• Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.
• Education: Actively pursuing a Four (4) year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Preferred Majors: Mechanical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in computer programs, including:
• Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Mastercam (CAD/CAM software).
• NX (CAD/CAM/CAE software).
• AutoCAD (CAD software).
• 3D printing concepts and/or software.
