Position Summary:
We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented, and self-starting individual to join our team as a Manufacturing Co-op. This role offers an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in aerospace component manufacturing, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to a high-performing team. We’re looking for someone with grit who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves, grow through practical learning, and drive excellence in aerospace manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities (Potential):

• Support manufacturing engineers and machinists in optimizing setups for production efficiency.
• Develop and document manufacturing processes, suggesting improvements for efficiency and/or safety.
• Design, with appropriate support, assembly fixtures that can be fabricated in-house or 3D printed.
• Participate actively in root cause analysis and corrective action efforts to enhance quality and performance.
• Help implement critical lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, visual management, waste elimination, and scrap reduction.
• Create and update comprehensive work instructions to ensure compliance with AS9100 and specific customer requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across engineering, quality, and operations departments.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Demonstrated strong initiative and a genuine willingness to work hands-on on the production floor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective teamwork.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and fundamental computer applications.
• Effective problem-solving abilities and strong time management skills.

Work Schedule & Duration:

• This is a full-time hourly role.
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Days: Monday – Friday
• This Co-op position is open to students for Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
