Investment Banking – Managing Director, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) | PKF O’Connor Davies

The Tone:
This is a senior-level role at PKF O’Connor Davies, located in Connecticut and Southeast Florida, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. PKF Investment Banking is the M&A advisory practice of PKF O’Connor Davies, a full-service certified public accounting and advisory firm with over 1,900 professionals. This role is crucial for delivering high-level M&A advisory services to privately held family- and founder-owned companies, directly impacting the firm’s expansion and success. The position offers significant autonomy for a senior banker focused on client development and relationship-driven advisory work.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Origination: Originate and execute sell-side and strategic M&A transactions for privately owned companies.
• Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to founders, entrepreneurs, and family-owned businesses.
• Leadership: Lead transaction teams through all phases of the M&A process.
• Client Relations: Develop and maintain long-term senior-level client relationships.
• Firm Growth: Contribute to business development initiatives and firm growth strategies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree is required, coupled with extensive experience in investment banking with a strong focus on middle market M&A.
• Experience: A minimum of 15 years of investment banking experience, with demonstrated success in transaction origination and execution, and an established business community network.
• Skills: Strong leadership, judgment, and client management abilities, alongside an entrepreneurial mindset with the capacity to operate independently, and current Series 63 and 79 licenses.
• Bonus: An MBA or equivalent degree is preferred.
