• Team: The MassMutual Investments team oversees $25 billion across 50+ portfolios, encompassing equities, fixed income, and multi-asset solutions. The team also cultivates partnerships with leading external asset managers who sub advise their investment strategies, such as Barings.
• Mission: This person supports MassMutual’s efforts to identify leading investment managers and deliver innovative, client-centric solutions across variable product and wealth management channels.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Perform thorough research on a variety of investment funds including equity, fixed income, and multi-asset classes, to proactively identify market trends and emerging opportunities for the investment platform.
• Reporting: Generate detailed and comprehensive investment reports and presentations, communicating key findings and and recommendations to both the internal investment team and executive management.
• Strategy Support: Actively assist in the development of new investment strategies and formulate well-reasoned recommendations to enhance portfolio performance and client offerings.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with both the Manager Research team and the Multi-Asset Class Solutions team, providing critical support that informs and strengthens overall investment decisions.
• Performance Insights: Systematically monitor and analyze the ongoing performance of investments, translating complex data into actionable insights for continuous optimization and strategic adjustments.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years in investment research or a similar role.
• Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative abilities essential for evaluating investment trends and opportunities; proficiency in financial modeling and valuation to support detailed research.
• Bonus: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for generating comprehensive reports and presentations; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple research projects effectively.
