About the Internship
The Manager of Payments Technology at Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the entire payments ecosystem within the organization. This role leads the development and implementation of payment strategies aligned with organizational goals, ensuring seamless, secure, and efficient transaction processes.
The Manager of Payments Technology collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive innovations in payment technology, optimize operational efficiencies, and ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader, committed to delivering excellence in payment services and fostering strong relationships both internally and with external partners.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive results across the organization in line with company culture
• Lead, prioritize, and direct the work of the payments team analysts and dedicated development team
• Establish a high performing team culture characterized by exceptional customer service, innovation, financial discipline, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
• Develop understanding of payments systems, payment security, RFID technology, and other mobile payment technology
• Research, review, and analyze existing processes to enhance payment solutions
• Drive innovation in payment technologies to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
• Manage projects from conception to completion, meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform product vision, strategy, and features
• Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors for access to the latest technologies
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to foster continuous improvement and learning
• Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting payment technologies and ensure compliance
Currently pursuings
Education:
• HS Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or business or other related field or equivalent experience and/or certification (Preferred)
Experience:
• 3-5 years’ experience in credit card payments or e-commerce solutions
• 5-7 years’ experience in project management and business analysis activities
• Experience with Retalix POS suite, SAP, AJB Software, ACI Postilion, or other ERP packages is a plus (Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.)
