Management Tutor | Varsity Tutors

The Tone:

This role is crucial for assisting thousands of students, significantly impacting their academic success and understanding, and fostering a passion for learning.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Deliver personalized 1-on-1 instruction to individual students online, offering customized support.
• Explain complex management concepts, theories, and frameworks clearly, covering areas like organizational behavior and strategic planning.
• Guide students through analyzing management case studies, evaluating leadership effectiveness, and applying strategic analysis tools.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources, including Harvard Business School case studies and simulation exercises, to meet diverse student learning styles.
• Leverage AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance instructional support, generate lessons, and streamline preparation time.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of management theories, organizational behavior, strategic planning, leadership styles, human resource management, organizational structure, decision-making processes, and change management. Ability to explain classical and contemporary management theories and motivational frameworks.
• Experience: Skilled at breaking down complex concepts like organizational structure design and leadership style analysis. Familiar with management curricula, including principles of management and organizational behavior courses, and capable of preparing students for coursework and leadership roles.
• Skills: Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style, capacity to adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs, and the ability to identify common student struggles to explain material using multiple approaches.
