What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Engagement: Actively participate in a 10-month personalized training and coaching program, receiving guidance from experienced managers and peers who often started in the same role.
• Skill Acquisition: Gain comprehensive product knowledge and develop crucial soft skills in sales, communications, and customer service through diverse learning methods.
• Operational Understanding: Be introduced to and learn about sales and operations processes, core company technology, and a robust culture valuing customer satisfaction and individual/team contributions.
• Career Development: Progress through the COMET program to build the foundation for future sales professional, local manager, national account manager, regional manager, or vice president positions.
• Diverse Learning: Utilize a variety of training modalities, including one-on-one sessions, small group activities, web-based courses, and hands-on, on-the-job experiences.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required for this entry-level sales and management trainee role, focused on industrial components distribution.
• Experience: Hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record, essential for potential travel in a customer-facing environment.
• Skills: Demonstrate results-oriented thinking, keen attention to detail, and effective time management abilities crucial for success in a demanding training program.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include internship or related work experience in a customer-facing capacity, proven leadership skills, and a Bachelor’s degree specifically in Business, Engineering Technology, or Communications. A mechanical interest and a strong desire to build a sales career are also highly valued characteristics for this role.
