2027 Management Trainee Program | Butterball

The Tone:
This is a 12-month rotational Management Trainee Program located primarily in Mount Olive, NC, Garner, NC, and Huntsville, AR. Butterball exists to help people pass love on, standing as the most recognized name in turkey and providing quality products that make meals something to celebrate. This program is crucial for exploring every area of the business, from live operations to production and distribution, helping to develop the next generation of manufacturing and operations leaders. The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Rotation: Gain a broad understanding of Butterball’s operations by rotating through multiple departments and business functions.
• Relationship Building: Build relationships with leaders and team members across the company through rotational experiences, mentorship, and collaboration.
• Leadership Development: Learn how leaders across the organization drive results and develop your own leadership approach in alignment with company values.
• Compliance and Quality: Apply company standards related to safety, animal welfare, food quality, environmental compliance, and team member engagement.
• Skill Enhancement: Complete meaningful assignments and experiences that strengthen leadership, business acumen, and decision-making skills.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Food Science, Agriculture, Business, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Experience: Expected graduation between December 2026 and May 2027, with demonstrated leadership, internship, co-op, campus involvement, or work experience.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, adaptability in new environments, curiosity, and willingness to work in a manufacturing setting.
• Bonus: Experience in agriculture, poultry, food manufacturing, operations, or a related industry.
