Management Trainee | Virtuos
The Tone:
This is an early career role for a Management Trainee at Virtuos, located in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. Virtuos is a global leader in video game development, founded in 2004, specializing in full-cycle game development and art production. The company is known for harnessing the latest technologies to create better, more immersive games and has contributed high-quality content to over 1,500 console, PC, and mobile games for 23 of the top 25 gaming companies worldwide. This role is crucial for an aspiring creator to contribute to pushing the boundaries of possibility within the gaming industry by optimizing operational processes and supporting critical projects across a multicultural environment.

• Team: This role is based in the Los Angeles studio, which, as CounterPunch, specializes in animation production for AAA titles. The trainee will collaborate across various departments and with international colleagues within the broader Virtuos family, which operates studios across Asia, Europe, and North America.
• Mission: To analyze and improve departmental workflows, support project management and delivery, apply problem-solving to real-world challenges, and contribute to cross-functional projects, ultimately driving increased efficiency, quality, and innovation in game development and operations.
• Tech Stack: Industry-specific software and systems, including project management platforms, art tools, and ERP systems.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Optimize Workflows: Examine departmental workflows to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, quality, and innovation.
• Support Project Delivery: Assist in tracking project milestones, coordinating tasks, and updating documentation to ensure timely project completion.
• Solve Business Challenges: Apply analytical and creative thinking to address challenges within cross-functional teams and propose data-driven solutions.
• Engage Stakeholders: Participate in client and internal meetings to develop skills in negotiation, presentation, and relationship management.
• Master Specialized Tools: Learn and proficiently operate industry-specific software and systems, including project management platforms, art tools, and ERP systems, for departmental tasks.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in management or engineering from a leading international University. This is an early career position designed for growth and development.
• Experience: While no specific years of experience are required, candidates must possess the ability to learn new skills quickly, demonstrate high levels of self-motivation, and show maturity in managing relationships at a senior level.
• Skills: Excellent organizational and analytical skills for solving complex issues under tight deadlines, superior written and oral communication skills with an emphasis on synthesizing information, and strong math and computational ability.
