What You’ll Actually Do
• Industry Immersion: Undertake a focused effort to gain comprehensive and useful knowledge, specifically about the operational dynamics, regulatory landscape, and best practices within the broader transportation industry.
• Corporate Governance: Acquire an in-depth and practical understanding of Dayton Freight’s established corporate policies, detailed operational procedures, and fundamental business philosophies that guide daily operations.
• Role Functionality: Dedicate time to thoroughly learn and grasp the specific duties, responsibilities, and operational functions associated with each critical position within a Service Center’s infrastructure.
• Mission Contribution: Develop a clear comprehension of how the performance and contributions of each individual position directly integrate with and support the overarching strategic mission of Dayton Freight as an organization.
• Operational Support: Actively engage in tasks and initiatives to contribute to the ongoing success, efficiency, and smooth daily operation of the Service Center by applying all acquired knowledge and understanding.

• Background: This is an entry-level opportunity for aspiring professionals. All candidates are required to be currently and actively enrolled in an accredited college or university program, demonstrating a commitment to higher education.
• Skills: Possess fundamental and reliable basic math skills essential for various operational calculations and data handling. Demonstrate clear and fluent proficiency in the English language, crucial for effective communication within the team and with customers.
