Management and Program Analyst | U.S. Customs and Border Protection

The Tone:

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Provide expert analytical, advisory, and program management support on human capital issues and Human Resources Management operations.
• Liaise: Serve as the key liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including Department of Homeland Security and Congressional staff, to align HRM initiatives.
• Manage Inquiries: Review, prioritize, assign, and adjudicate incoming inquiries and requests for information, tracking them through completion.
• Draft Correspondence: Prepare external and other local correspondence on behalf of leadership, including CBP comments and input based on policy analysis.
• Review Content: Review and analyze the content of correspondence, ensuring accuracy, clarity, completeness, and internal consistency of all outgoing materials.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experienced professional with core domain knowledge in human capital issues and Human Resources Management operations.
• Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, including developing recommendations for program improvement, developing/maintaining management information systems or reporting tools, and coordinating cross-functional teams or projects.
• Skills: Expert analytical support, advisory capability, program management, stakeholder liaison, policy interpretation, and professional correspondence preparation and review.
