Job Overview

As a Maintenance Systems & Analytics Intern, you will play a crucial support role within the Technical Services Maintenance Department. Our dedicated maintenance team is responsible for both immediate breakdown support and comprehensive preventative maintenance (PM) across all critical production machines, or “facilities,” at the South Harbor manufacturing facility.

This position is onsite at our South Harbor location in Milwaukee’s vibrant Harbor District. The target start date for this valuable internship is Summer 2026, with potential for extension into the Fall 2026 academic semester. We offer full-time hours during the summer and flexible part-time hours during the academic year to accommodate your studies.

Key Job Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Systems & Analytics Intern, your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and improve the electronic PM system and all related service documentation.
  • Process maintenance data to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), automated reports, and interactive dashboards.
  • Update work instructions and documentation to support part-program and VLM process improvements.
  • Create and maintain vital digital resources, including Fast Crib links for parts availability.
  • Support the maintenance team with parts ordering and receipt tracking.
  • Organize and meticulously maintain maintenance documents, work orders, and instructions.
  • Assist the Operations and Tech Services teams on various data-driven and continuous improvement projects as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be actively pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university in business (e.g., supply chain, operations management, information systems, business analytics) or engineering (e.g., industrial, manufacturing), or a similar field, at the time of the internship.
  • A Rising Junior or Senior level student in good academic standing, with an earliest graduation date of December 2026 to be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as effectively as part of a team towards a common goal.
  • Possess excellent organization and personal time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Experience with data analysis, statistics, and Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards; knowledge of Palantir/AI tools for business is a plus.
  • Possess effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful when faced with challenges.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with advanced Excel skills preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A safety-conscious individual.
  • Experience and knowledge of inventory tracking.
  • Experience or foundational knowledge of maintenance programs.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Ability to multitask and efficiently determine priorities for completing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
