The TL;DR

• Type: 3rd shifts available, OT/weekends as needed
• Location: Garden City, KS
• Pay: $30.3 hourly
• Mission: This person is responsible for the upkeep and functionality of plant equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
• Tech Stack: SAP

What You’ll Actually Do
• Repair: Diagnose, repair, replace, and install plant mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for all plant equipment.
• Maintain: Perform machinery maintenance, lubrication, preventative maintenance (PMs), troubleshooting, and upgrading on various equipment.
• Fabricate: Fabricate equipment using both arc and gas welding techniques to meet desired operational needs.
• Adjust: Identify unusual sounds that may indicate potential equipment trouble and make adjustments to enhance productivity and performance.
• Plan: Engage in predictive maintenance data collection and contribute to PM planning.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Strong mechanical aptitude and a firm commitment to safety are essential for this role.
• Experience: Demonstrated working knowledge of various measurement equipment (e.g., dial calipers, heat sensing guns) and proficiency in using a range of maintenance hand tools. Must possess an excellent attendance and safety record.
• Skills:
• Ability to read and understand mechanical prints, AC/DC motors, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and installing mechanical components, AC/DC motors, pneumatic equipment, hydraulic equipment, bearings, and power transmission systems.
• Competence in arc and gas welding for equipment fabrication and operating various shop tools (e.g., drill press, grinder, acetylene torch).
• Computer skills to navigate SAP for acquiring notifications, work orders, requisitioning parts, and entering time.
• Strong teamwork, cooperation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as a self-starter.
