Maintenance Director | Majestic Care

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Majestic Care, located in Fairmont, WV. Majestic Care is dedicated to providing excellent healthcare through the hearts of its Care Team Members. This role is crucial for maintaining the physical plant and environmental systems, directly supporting the mission of quality resident care by ensuring a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for all. The TL;DR

• Location: In-person, Fairmont, WV

• Team: Supervises the maintenance department.
• Mission: Ensures the efficient function of the physical plant and environmental systems, as well as the appearance and upkeep of the community grounds.
• Tech Stack: TELS system, Microsoft Office suite.

What You’ll Actually Do
System Operations: Schedule and direct the repair and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment, and participate in maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
Preventive Maintenance & Compliance: Develop and ensure all preventive maintenance programs are met in a timely manner, within compliance of state/federal and manufacturer guidelines.
Budget and Resources: Prepare the department budget, monitor the expenditure of funds, and requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
Facility & Grounds Management: Oversee daily follow-up of the TELS system for building management and tracking of Life Safety and maintenance services/repairs, and direct efforts to have attractive and well-maintained grounds.
Professional Conduct: Demonstrate empathetic, courteous, kind, and professional workplace behavior and customer service to all residents, Care Team Members, vendors, visitors, and family members at all times.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Director-level professional specializing in building maintenance, specifically within a long-term care environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience: Requires three years of proven experience in building maintenance, with long-term care experience being a mandatory qualification.
• Skills: Proficient in utilizing computers and the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Demonstrates the ability to manage and track building services and repairs using systems like TELS.
• Bonus: Graduation from an appropriate technical/trade school is preferred, and prior supervisory experience of at least one year is advantageous.
