Job Description: M&A Business Research Analyst

Position Summary:

Bainbridge seeks driven, results-oriented M&A Business Research Analysts to provide high-quality insights for strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who excels both independently and collaboratively. Success requires strong business acumen, research skills, and technical proficiency. While some repetitive tasks are involved, maintaining accuracy and focus is crucial. The role demands the ability to synthesize qualitative information, think critically, and communicate effectively. This position offers growth opportunities within M&A and strategic research.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research and analysis of prospective targets and industries using secondary sources to identify trends and support deal development. (Primary research experience is highly preferred).
• Cultivate business relationships between capital institutions and business owners using the company’s technology platform.
• Analyze qualitative data to identify industry, company, and customer trends.
• Prepare industry briefs and presentations to support deal development.
• Develop and maintain competitive assessments of key acquisition targets.
• Market and communicate analytical services to prospective clients.
• Create in-depth case studies, white papers, and ad-hoc research reports.
• Serve as a liaison between the data analytics and capital teams.
• Provide support on various research projects as needed.
No financial modeling or pitch deck creation is required for this role.

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is required.
1-2 years of relevant experience in M&A, private equity, wealth management, consulting, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to create professional reports.
• Proficiency with CRM tools.
Experience with programming tools (Python, Tableau, R, PANDAS, etc.) is highly preferred.
• Solid business acumen and a passion for business development.
• Strong problem-solving skills with creative and strategic thinking abilities.
• Professional communication skills and demeanor.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
