Job Description

Role: LRL Learning and Development Account Associate

Purpose: To serve as the primary resource to assist business partners in the development/modification of curricula assignments and lead the deployment of learning and performance solutions. This role ensures LRL personnel are qualified and capable of performing their job responsibilities, ensuring compliance requirements are met, and continually finding ways to improve the processes work processes within the LRL L&D.

Primary Responsibilities:

Learning and Performance Support:
• Build relationships with functional leaders and business partners, leveraging organizational knowledge to support business results.
• Provide learning management system expertise and guidance for LRL L&D, providing business support for curricula, assignments, and learning content deployment.
• Agility to learn LRL L&D and Lilly Global Learning policies for learning content deployment.
• Ability to anticipate and resolve complex problems.
• Assist business partners through change management activities as learning solutions are implemented.
• Serve as a key resource to answer questions for business partners within LRL L&D.
Curricula Management and Assignment of Learning Solutions:
• Leverage learning management system expertise to design curricula architecture for business functions supported by LRL L&D.
• Develop and lead strategies to ensure timely implementation of learning solutions in cooperation with other L&D personnel and business partners.
• Work with third-party providers to ensure deployment of learning solutions.
• Provide recommendations to curricula and course owners on best practices in course assignments and curricula structure.
• Consult with business partners to establish and maintain a curriculum architecture for their respective business functions.
• Proactively consider solutions to ensure curricula and assignments.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Assist business partners with information gathering of learning data from the learning management system as needed.
• Run reports and assist with the continual improvement of curricula and processes within LRL.
Learning Effectiveness and Compliance:
• Implement evaluation plans in the learning management system for learning and performance solutions when appropriate.
• Lead efforts to ensure curriculum assignments support personnel qualification.
• Support audit/inspection readiness and execution.
Support Learning Solution Development:
• Work with Learning Design Strategists and Strategic Learning Consultants to conduct needs and target audience analysis to identify learning and performance gaps.
• Assist in the quality and course review processes to ensure learning solutions are appropriate for deployment.
• Apply effective project management to ensure timely delivery of the performance solution.
• Effectively utilize technology to support the development of learning and performance solutions (e.g., IT tools, video technology, etc.) and ensure they can be integrated with Lilly systems.
• Provide input on ways to innovate and improve processes within LRL L&D.
• Partner with Lilly select supplier and manage procurement activities, when needed.
• Manage budget for small- to medium-size projects or programs.
• Manage Transfer of Training to external partners, as appropriate.
Coaching and Personal Development:
• Establish a network of internal and external learning and business professionals and benchmark as appropriate.

Basic Qualification/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, instructional design, performance technology, or related programs, OR Associates Degree with 5-7 years experience working in Learning & Development area, OR successful completion of the Lilly Professional Apprentice.

Additional Preferences

• Demonstrated expertise in performance consulting, learning management system administration, curricula management, and learning program/project management.
• Strong skills in working with data sets in Microsoft Excel, analyzing and interpreting data and communicating findings back to the business.
• M.S. degree in Instructional Systems Technology, Adult Learning, or related experience/education
• Human Performance Improvement (HPI) Certification
• Working knowledge of and/or experience in a regulated environment
• Knowledge of LRL business and structure
• Demonstrated ability in communication, conflict resolution, using good judgment, and managing complexity
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a collaborative environment and build trust with internal and external business partners
• Demonstrated ability to scope and lead projects
• Demonstrated success in influencing without authority
• Effective problem-solving skills to evaluate and resolve business and organizational problems
• Experience with SCORM or xAPI in the deployment of learning solutions
