Data Center Logistics Specialist | Amazon Web Services (AWS)
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Amazon Web Services (AWS), located in Fairless Hills, PA. AWS Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers, and operates all AWS global infrastructure, essentially keeping the cloud running by managing data centers and all associated servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining the heartbeat of data center operations. Your work ensures seamless logistics and inventory management, directly supporting technology deployment and maintenance efforts for the continuous access to innovation our customers rely on.

• Team: Collaborates with Data Center Technicians, Engineers, and Manager to support global infrastructure operations.
• Mission: Ensures optimal stock levels and seamless logistics to support data center build and repair operations, critical for maintaining continual access to cloud innovation for customers.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Inventory Control: Proactively ensure optimal stock levels are consistently maintained to seamlessly support ongoing data center build and repair operations.
• Parts Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for all incoming parts, meticulously managing their receipt, maintaining accurate inventory control, and efficiently distributing them to Data Center Technicians and Engineers.
• Record Management: Precisely record and track all commodities, ensuring accurate documentation of items entering and exiting the company.
• Financial Processing: Oversee and ensure that all billing associated with the inventory supply chain is accurate, thoroughly validated, and prepared for timely processing.
• Shipping & Logistics: Coordinate the assembly, addressing, and stamping of merchandise and materials for shipment, while also assisting in the daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Requires a minimum of 1 year in logistics or other relevant experience, coupled with at least 1 year of experience specifically in shipping & receiving inventory and warehousing practices.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to keep precise records of all commodities, maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, and adhere to strict safety standards. Must be available to work weekend shifts and capable of frequent lifting of materials and products.
• Bonus: Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems, prior experience with Warehouse Management Software or Inventory Management Software, familiarity with waybills and shipping procedures, ability to manage work through a ticketing system, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
