Logistics Internship at Cargill

This internship program provides real-world experience and learning opportunities within Cargill’s logistics operations. Interns will gain exposure to key aspects of supply chain management, including:

Logistics management: Strategic sourcing, inventory optimization, order fulfillment, and continuous improvement projects.
Transportation coordination: Equipment management, cost control, deployment, and planning.
Other potential areas: Commodity merchandising, customer service operations planning, freight bills, tariff/rate quotations, rate management, local plant logistics, sales contract development, and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with business goals aimed at strategically sourcing goods and services, minimizing manufacturing time, optimizing inventory, streamlining order fulfillment, and reducing costs.
• Participate in system data entry, ensuring accurate information for logistics processes.
• Develop an understanding of the organization through various intern events.

Compensation: Paid hourly rate of $21.90 – $30.30, dependent on graduation date and full-time employment eligibility.

Internship Details:

Duration: Typically 12 weeks.
Location: Amarillo, TX.
Requirements:
• Right to work in the US (not based solely on a student visa or third-party employer sponsorship).
• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain, procurement, engineering, finance, economics, MIS, logistics, or related business fields.
• Expected graduation between December 2025 and summer 2027.
• Geographic flexibility and willingness to relocate to Amarillo, TX for the internship.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
