Lockton Summer Internship Program

This Lockton Summer Internship Program offers an exceptional opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the professional services industry. The program is specifically designed for internships within the People Solutions Consulting and Property & Casualty divisions, providing a comprehensive introduction to key business areas.

Program Locations:
Internships are available in the following offices:
Dallas / Plano
Houston
San Antonio
Baton Rouge

About the Program:
Interns will be immersed in Lockton’s world-class culture, benefiting from extensive exposure to various aspects of the business. The program emphasizes both personal and professional development, featuring:
Direct Interaction: Opportunities to engage with Lockton Associates and senior leaders.
Mentorship: Each intern is paired with a dedicated Performance Coach to provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback throughout the internship.
Key Initiatives: Interns will actively assist Lockton Associates on critical projects, including client/carrier correspondence and diverse account servicing initiatives.
Collaborative Project: A significant component of the program is a group project, culminating in a formal presentation to peers, Associates, and leaders, fostering teamwork and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Interns will undertake a variety of tasks crucial to daily operations and client service, including:
Documentation & Reporting: Preparing a wide range of correspondence, reports, financial documents, spreadsheets, and other forms of documentation.
Administrative Support: Coordinating and communicating calendar appointments and team tasks, ensuring accuracy and preparedness.
Information Management: Creating and meticulously maintaining files of correspondences, records, presentations, and other essential materials.
Client Interaction: Engaging with both internal and external clients, consistently exemplifying genuine hospitality and a high standard of service.
Compliance & Confidentiality: Attending company, department, and team meetings as required, and strictly adhering to all company policies and procedures, proactively safeguarding client and company confidentiality.
Other Duties: Performing additional responsibilities and duties as needed to support team objectives.

Qualifications:
Lockton seeks ambitious and well-rounded candidates who demonstrate a strong foundation for a career in professional services/consulting.
Academic Excellence: A minimum 3.5 GPA is required, reflecting balanced success in academic pursuits.
Extracurricular Involvement: Proven participation in a combination of extracurricular activities such as sports, student government, college clubs, community service, and/or work experience.
Leadership Potential: Candidates who have held leadership positions in these activities will be viewed as an added advantage.
Communication Skills: Demonstrated strong to excellent communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
