This position is an expansion role within a Top Am Law international law firm, dedicated to supporting complex commercial litigation matters. What You’ll Actually Do
• Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough legal fact and basic legal research to gather essential information, analyzing findings to support case strategy and attorney arguments.
• Litigation Support & Drafting: Assist actively with all phases of case management, including the precise drafting of legal documents, pleadings, and discovery requests, as well as preparing crucial trial exhibits.
• Inter-office Collaboration: Engage in collaborative efforts with peer paralegals located in other offices, ensuring consistent support and coordinated efforts across multi-office matters.
• Electronic Filing & Organization: Systematically organize and electronically file pleadings with both state and federal courts, maintaining meticulous records and adherence to filing procedures.
• Calendar & Scheduling Management: Take charge of coordinating and scheduling complex calendars for various legal proceedings, depositions, and meetings, ensuring all deadlines are met and logistics are seamless.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a specialized focus as a litigation paralegal. This role requires significant experience within commercial litigation, particularly in complex business disputes, healthcare-related legal challenges, and oil & gas litigation.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience as a litigation paralegal is required, characterized by strong tenure in previous professional positions, indicating commitment and reliability.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in legal fact-finding and basic legal research methodologies. Strong capability in drafting a variety of legal documents, including pleadings and discovery. Expert knowledge of electronic filing protocols for both state and federal courts (E-Filing). Proven ability to assist with comprehensive case management from inception through trial. Essential soft skills include the ability to pivot and provide effective support to multiple partners simultaneously, along with a strong capacity for teamwork and collaboration.
