The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Bush & Bush Law Group, operating in a fully remote environment. The firm is a distinguished Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Law Firm, specializing in auto accidents, semi-trucking accidents, employment law, and sexual assault cases. This pivotal position requires exceptional legal acumen and precision, supporting litigation efforts and enhancing the firm’s paralegal team. You will play a critical role in developing legal strategies and shaping the future of a growing legal practice.

• Team: Supports attorneys and supervises a team of junior and foreign paralegals.
• Mission: To develop comprehensive legal strategies, supervise paralegal staff, and directly support litigation efforts for successful case outcomes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Guide Team: Lead, mentor, and develop the foreign paralegal staff to ensure consistent quality and efficiency in their legal work.
• Craft Discovery: Independently propound and respond to discovery requests from scratch, developing tailored strategies based on a deep understanding of case specifics.
• Develop Case Strategy: Prepare precise jury charges that identify critical elements, utilizing these to draft petitions, complaints, and targeted discovery aimed at gathering key evidence.
• Draft Legal Documents: Draft comprehensive petitions, pleadings, and complaints for cases in both state and federal court jurisdictions, meticulously addressing all relevant legal elements and strategic objectives.
• Manage Litigation Process: Meticulously review and analyze discovery records and gathered evidence, drafting motions to compel as necessary, monitoring all court deadlines, and assembling flawless trial binders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience specializing in Texas Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Law, demonstrating substantial exposure to complex litigation and expertise in Texas law.
• Experience: Proven ability to independently draft and respond to discovery requests, develop tailored legal strategies from scratch, and craft jury charges that align petitions and discovery with the key elements of a case.
• Skills: Advanced legal drafting skills, exceptional organizational abilities, critical thinking, attention to detail, and a strategic mindset.
• Leadership & Environment: Ability to effectively train, supervise, and inspire a team of junior and foreign paralegals, alongside comfort and effectiveness in a fully remote working environment while maintaining high standards of performance and accountability.
