What You’ll Actually Do
• Employment Litigation Management: Manage and support a diverse caseload of employment litigation matters, assisting attorneys from initial assessment through resolution.
• Specialized Case Handling: Provide comprehensive paralegal support for specific labor disputes, including wage and hour matters, class actions, PAGA litigation, and FEHA claims.
• Court Documentation & Filings: Prepare, review, and organize all necessary documentation for accurate state and federal court filings, ensuring adherence to procedural rules.
• Discovery & Trial Preparation: Coordinate and manage all phases of discovery processes, including document organization and responses, and collaborate with attorneys to prepare thoroughly for trials, arbitrations, and hearings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is a mid-level paralegal position requiring a robust background in the legal field, specifically within labor and employment law. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working on employer-side defense cases, understanding the unique challenges and strategies involved in representing companies.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of dedicated litigation paralegal experience is a foundational requirement for this role. Candidates must possess practical experience in core litigation functions, including all aspects of discovery management, thorough trial preparation, efficient document management systems, and accurate court filings. Labor & Employment litigation experience is strongly preferred, showcasing direct relevance to the firm’s specialized practice area.
• Skills: Possess a strong and current knowledge of California state and federal court procedures, ensuring seamless compliance and execution of legal processes. Exhibit excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and complex cases efficiently, alongside superior communication skills for effective interaction with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
