Litigation Paralegal | Matura Farrington

The Tone:
This is a newly created Litigation Paralegal role at Matura Farrington, operating on a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) in West Los Angeles. The firm is a highly regarded law firm. This position is crucial for supporting a small team of attorneys in managing complex, high-impact litigation from inception through trial. It offers an experienced litigation paralegal the opportunity to engage directly with clients, manage significant cases, and contribute to meaningful legal outcomes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Case Progression: Oversee all aspects of case administration from initial intake to final resolution, including maintaining case files, calendars, and litigation deadlines.
• Legal Document Support: Draft, proofread, and organize critical legal documents such as pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and other necessary filings.
• Litigation Logistics: Prepare attorneys for various legal proceedings including depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials, by organizing exhibits, witness files, and trial notebooks.
• Client and Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a primary contact for regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, insurance representatives, and outside vendors.
• Research and Strategy: Conduct necessary legal and factual research while collaborating closely with attorneys to develop case strategy and ensure all deadlines are met.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior level paralegal with a strong understanding of complex civil litigation.
• Experience: At least 7 years of dedicated litigation paralegal work, with proven involvement in supporting matters through trial and arbitration, and practical experience using eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity or DISCO.
• Skills: Demonstrated exceptional organizational, analytical, and written communication abilities; capacity to manage multiple priorities with precision and attention to detail; self-driven and collaborative client service focus.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree complemented by an ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate.
