What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Management: Oversee and manage diverse litigation matters comprehensively, guiding them from their initial inception through all phases up to and including trial.
• Document Preparation: Precisely draft and prepare a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and professional correspondence.
• Production Coordination: Efficiently coordinate the entire process of document production and review, ensuring all relevant materials are organized and accessible.
• Trial Organization: Systematically organize and compile necessary exhibits and construct comprehensive trial binders to support attorneys during court proceedings.
• Deadline Management: Diligently maintain accurate case calendars and track all critical litigation deadlines to ensure timely compliance and smooth case progression.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires an experienced paralegal with a robust and demonstrated knowledge of California litigation procedures, capable of effectively navigating complex legal processes and supporting sophisticated litigation matters.
• Experience: Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of direct, hands-on litigation paralegal experience, adept at managing various stages of legal cases from inception through trial preparation.
• Skills: Essential skills include a strong foundational knowledge of California litigation procedures, exceptional communication abilities for effective interaction with legal teams and external parties, and superior organizational skills to meticulously maintain case calendars, deadlines, and documentation.
• Bonus: Prior experience in trial preparation is a distinct advantage, signifying readiness to contribute immediately to key aspects of court proceedings.
