• Team: Reports to the Associate Director of Paralegal Services and the Manager, Paralegal Services.
• Mission: To support attorneys in all phases of litigation, from case initiation through trial and appeals, on high-stakes cases.
• Tech Stack: Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, iManage, Relativity, Opus 2, CaseMap, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Management: Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, from case initiation through trial and appeals.
• Discovery Management: Coordinate and assist with discovery, including document collection, organization, review, and productions.
• Court Filings & Quality Assurance: Draft and prepare court filings for federal and state courts, ensuring meticulous proofreading, cite checking, and Bluebooking.
• Trial & Appellate Preparation: Support trial, arbitration, deposition, and appellate preparations, including creating case and briefing binders and coordinating travel.
• Document Organization: Prepare appellate records and appendices, various charts, and indices, and perform day-to-day case management tasks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Equivalent combination of education and substantive paralegal experience, meeting any applicable state paralegal requirements.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, proficient in California state and U.S. federal court procedures, and skilled in eDiscovery databases and legal research platforms.
• Skills: Understanding of common litigation practices, procedures, regulations, and workflow; proficiency in proofreading, cite checking, and Bluebooking; superior analytical and reasoning abilities.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree; minimum 5 years of relevant experience at an AmLaw 100 firm.
