Litigation Paralegal | Hire Options, Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time Litigation Paralegal role based in the Los Angeles office of a law firm represented by Hire Options, Inc. The firm is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join their legal team, providing essential support through all phases of litigation. This position is vital for managing complex case preparation, ensuring precise and timely filings, and supporting attorneys in their daily practice, directly contributing to the efficient and successful progression of legal cases within the firm.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Documentation: Expertly draft, review, and finalize a variety of critical legal documents, including pleadings, correspondence, and comprehensive discovery requests and responses, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Court Filings: Manage and execute all necessary federal and state electronic filings with precision, adhering strictly to court rules and deadlines to maintain case progress.
• Deposition Management: Coordinate the scheduling of depositions with all parties involved, and subsequently prepare detailed summaries of deposition transcripts for attorney review, aiding in strategic case development.
• Litigation Support: Provide hands-on, proactive assistance throughout the entire trial preparation process, meticulously organizing exhibits, managing witness schedules, and ensuring all logistical and material requirements are met for court proceedings.
• Administrative Oversight: Take ownership of managing the attorneys’ intricate schedules by accurately calendaring meetings and critical court dates, efficiently coordinating all travel arrangements, and thoroughly reviewing attorney billing records for accuracy and proper allocation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess both a Bachelor’s degree and a certified Paralegal certificate, demonstrating a robust understanding of legal principles, research methodologies, and procedural requirements crucial for litigation.
• Experience: A significant professional track record of at least 5–7 years working directly within a litigation environment is absolutely essential for this role, showcasing proven capability in managing legal casework.
• Skills: Required technical proficiencies include advanced mastery of Microsoft Word, particularly with functionalities like redlining and generating Tables of Authorities/Contents, alongside strong operational skills in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: While not strictly required, prior professional experience specifically within employment and labor law practice areas will be considered a significant advantage.
