• Mission: This person ensures attorneys receive essential support for case management, record keeping, trial readiness, and expert coordination.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Subpoena Management: You will draft, issue, and meticulously track subpoenas, ensuring precise coordination of service of process and comprehensive management of all records production.
• Expert Witness Coordination: You will assist attorneys with the retention of expert witnesses, facilitate critical communication, compile thorough expert reports, and support both deposition and trial preparation efforts.
• Trial Readiness: You will be responsible for organizing and preparing essential trial materials, including binders, exhibits, witness lists, and demonstrative evidence, while assisting attorneys with crucial case logistics.
• Discovery & Case Management: You will provide comprehensive support for discovery processes, assisting with detailed document review and the drafting and responding to requests, alongside maintaining and organizing case files and tracking all pertinent deadlines.
• Court Filings: You will accurately file pleadings and motions in both state and federal courts, utilizing various e-filing systems as required by jurisdiction.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certification is a core requirement for this position. Candidates must also possess strong foundational knowledge of subpoena procedures, applicable court rules, and the full scope of civil litigation processes.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience is essential, acquired within a law firm or other professional legal setting, providing practical exposure to the demands of legal support.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in essential tools including Microsoft Office Suite, specialized case management software, and various legal research tools is required. This role also demands excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills, along with the proven ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Bonus: Prior experience specifically with trial preparation and the coordination of expert witnesses is highly preferred, indicating a readiness for key aspects of the role.
