As a Litigation Paralegal, this position is essential for providing critical support to attorneys throughout the entire litigation lifecycle. What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Provide comprehensive support to attorneys throughout all litigation phases, including discovery, motion practice, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Filing: Prepare, organize, and accurately file legal documents with federal and state courts, utilizing systems such as PACER/ECF.
• Research & Drafting: Conduct thorough legal research and assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, client correspondence, and detailed discovery responses.
• Case Management: Proactively manage case files, monitor calendars, and track critical deadlines to ensure the timely and accurate progression of all assigned cases.
• Document Coordination: Coordinate large-scale document productions, and effectively maintain databases or spreadsheets for tracking evidence and case materials.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree and/or a Paralegal Certificate are required for this Mid-Senior level position, demonstrating core domain knowledge in litigation.
• Experience: Requires 5+ years of dedicated litigation experience, coupled with a thorough working knowledge of federal and state court filing procedures and rules, including PACER/ECF.
• Skills: Possesses strong legal research, drafting, and document management capabilities. Demonstrates excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities, alongside a proven capacity to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities. Exhibits meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Bonus: Trial experience, mass tort/MDL experience, and proficiency in Excel are preferred qualifications for this role.
