This role is crucial for supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process, playing a vital part in the firm’s legal operations. The successful candidate will contribute directly to the efficiency and success of the legal practice.

What You’ll Actually Do
Legal Document Preparation: Prepare a variety of essential legal documents for attorney review, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, ensuring all submissions adhere to precise legal standards and court requirements.
Research & Document Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research using specialized resources like Westlaw and meticulously review and summarize critical case documents, such as deposition transcripts and medical records, to extract key information.
Case Administration & Deadlines: Organize and maintain comprehensive case files, including detailed indexing and filing of all documents. Additionally, manage and track all litigation deadlines to ensure the timely and accurate filing of court documents.
Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate schedules and logistics for interviews and depositions with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel, ensuring smooth communication and efficient proceedings.
Trial Preparation & Communication: Assist attorneys with all aspects of trial preparation, including the organization of exhibits and the compilation of witness lists. Draft and send correspondence to clients regarding ongoing case updates.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Strong foundation in legal principles and procedures, enabling effective support across various litigation stages.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in drafting and preparing a wide range of legal documents; practical experience conducting thorough legal research using platforms such as Westlaw.
• Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail for managing complex case information; strong written and verbal communication abilities for interacting with diverse stakeholders; proven capability to effectively interview clients and witnesses; proficient in comprehensive file management and accurate record keeping.
• Bonus: Familiarity with specific litigation software like Net Documents or other similar document management systems.
