Litigation Paralegal | D3 Search

The Tone:
This is a full-time, direct-hire role at a prominent CA-based full-service law practice, located in West Los Angeles, CA (90067). The law practice is headquartered in West Los Angeles and maintains a long-standing office in Century City. This role is crucial for supporting a small internal civil litigation team by managing complex documentation, discovery, and client communications to ensure efficient case progression. The position offers a flexible hybrid work model, allowing for 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Document collection and production, drafting correspondence, and communicating with experts and clients.
• Oversee: Discovery processes, including document management using Relativity, DISCO, or Everlaw, and tracking settlement statements.
• Organize: Client files in Filevine by renaming, reviewing, updating screens, entering party information, and creating deadline chains.
• Coordinate: Expert assignments, inspections requested by carriers, and follow up on outstanding tasks like document collection and client welcome calls.
• Draft: Initial disclosures and other discovery-related documents, and communicate with clients regarding expert estimates and approvals.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate degree in paralegal or legal studies or paralegal certificate, or an equivalent combination of education, work experience, and training in a law office setting.
• Experience: Four (4+) years of relevant civil litigation experience/expertise, including document management with Relativity, DISCO, and/or Everlaw.
• Skills: Document collection and production, discovery management, client communication, expert coordination, and proficient file organization in systems like Filevine.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree in paralegal or legal studies is highly preferred.
