This is a hybrid role supporting a law firm client’s litigation team, based in New York City, NY. The PeterSan Group and PeterSan Legal Staffing is a specialized firm that connects experienced legal professionals with leading legal organizations. This role is crucial for providing essential support to a litigation team, ensuring the efficient management of legal documents and meticulous preparation for court proceedings.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Trial Preparation: Organize exhibits and assist with comprehensive trial preparation.
• Legal Research Support: Cite-check and compile relevant case law for legal proceedings.
• E-discovery Management: Manage E-discovery processes, supporting the efficient handling of electronic data.
• Court Filings: Prepare court papers for e-filing, including compiling PDFs, bookmarking, and hyperlinking citations.
• Document Control: Oversee the management of both hard copy and electronic case documents, ensuring organized access.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Foundational legal support with 2–5+ years of solid litigation paralegal experience.
• Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or a paralegal certificate. Practical experience with E-discovery platforms like Relativity and/or Everlaw is preferred, and NetDocuments experience is also preferred.
• Skills: Excellent judgment, strong analytical capabilities, strong interpersonal abilities, robust time management skills, and strong administrative capabilities.
• Bonus: Experience with, or a keen interest in, generative AI applications within legal practice.
