Litigation Paralegal | NewGen Administrative Services

The Tone:
This is a hybrid role at NewGen Administrative Services, located in Los Angeles, CA. NewGen Administrative Services partners with skilled nursing facilities, delivering compassionate, person-centered care to communities. This role is vital for supporting the General Counsel, managing a diverse legal caseload, and ensuring seamless legal operations so that communities can effectively focus on their core mission of care.

• Pay: $80,000–$90,000 yearly
• Team: Reports to General Counsel
• Mission: Supports the legal framework for skilled nursing facilities, managing litigation and compliance to protect the company’s mission.
• Tech Stack: Legal software, Microsoft Office Suite

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Management: Manage litigation comprehensively, including case filings, discovery processes, trial preparation, and calendar deadlines.
• External Coordination: Coordinate effectively with external counsel, serving as the primary point of contact for communication and collaboration.
• Document Drafting: Draft precise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research on state and federal laws to ensure compliance across California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Investigations & Reporting: Assist with internal investigations, regulatory inquiries, and sensitive matters while maintaining discretion, and prepare status reports for the General Counsel.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution is required.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a law firm senior-level background strongly preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency with legal software, Microsoft Office Suite, and technology-driven workflows; exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases independently; excellent written and verbal communication, combined with absolute confidentiality and professionalism.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree; direct experience in healthcare law, long-term care, or employment/labor law.
