What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation & Management: Prepare, organize, and meticulously manage a wide array of legal documents and comprehensive case files, ensuring all materials are accurate and readily accessible.
• Electronic Filing & Correspondence: Execute precise e-filing procedures across state, federal, and administrative courts, and draft, proofread, and meticulously edit legal correspondence, maintaining high standards of legal communication.
• Calendaring & Deadline Adherence: Coordinate attorney calendars, including scheduling travel and managing expenses, while proactively maintaining all litigation deadlines using electronic calendaring systems to ensure timely action.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for effective communication with clients, various courts, and opposing counsel, handling inquiries and relaying essential information professionally.
• Attorney & Case Support: Provide dedicated legal and administrative support to multiple attorneys, adeptly managing competing priorities and ensuring the overall accuracy of documents and timely progression of case management.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Experienced legal professional with a high school diploma or GED, bringing 3+ years of specific litigation legal secretary experience.
• Experience: Demonstrate experience supporting multiple attorneys, paired with strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures.
• Skills: Possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, along with practical experience using iManage or similar document management systems.
• Bonus: Previous experience gained within a Big Law environment is preferred.
