What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Prepare and format pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and motion papers.

• Filing Coordination: Coordinate California state and federal court filings.
• File Organization: Maintain electronic and physical case files.
• Hearing Support: Assist with hearing, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Mid-career professional with a strong understanding of California civil litigation processes.
• Experience: 5+ years of legal secretary experience supporting civil litigation attorneys.
• Skills: Proficiency in California state and federal court rules, calendaring, and e-filing procedures; advanced Microsoft Word skills for formatting, redlining, tables of contents, and tables of authorities; professional communication for interacting with attorneys, clients, and courts.
• Bonus: Experience with business and commercial litigation strongly preferred.
