The Litigation Legal Practice Assistant is critical for ensuring compliance, precision, and organization in all legal documentation and administrative processes. This professional plays a vital role in enabling attorneys to focus on core litigation strategies by managing essential support functions with discretion and expertise.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and format pleadings and legal documents with precision and professionalism.
• Court Filings: Manage electronic filing of legal documents in both Federal and State courts, ensuring compliance with all procedural requirements.
• Schedule Management: Coordinate in-person and virtual meetings, maintain attorney calendars, and arrange travel itineraries and logistics.
• File Organization: Organize and maintain electronic and paper files using NetDocuments, applying standardized naming conventions.
• Administrative Support: Provide daily administrative and clerical support to assigned attorneys, including new client intake and expense report submission.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or GED required, demonstrating foundational education for complex legal support.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience specifically as a litigation legal assistant, with proven ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bonus: Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in Complex Litigation and Trial preferred; advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred; familiarity with NetDocuments or similar document management systems preferred.
