The Tone:
This is a full-time role at a mid-size Texas law firm, located in Arlington, TX. The firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant or Paralegal to provide direct support to three Partners. This position is critical for managing substantial litigation and administrative responsibilities, ensuring efficient legal operations and client support. The firm is looking for long-term candidates committed to a career in this role, expecting a minimum stay of 5 years. The firm is not considering candidates who plan to attend law school or become practicing attorneys.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, (8:30 AM -5:30 AM possibility)
• Location: In-person, Arlington, TX
• Pay: $55000–$65000 yearly
• Team: Direct support to 3 Partners in the Arlington office
• Mission: Provide comprehensive litigation and administrative support to attorneys, ensuring efficient case management and document preparation.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Outlook, legal case management software, Centerbase (or similar)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Litigation and Legal Document Preparation: Draft, revise, proofread, and format a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence, for state and federal courts.
• Document Management: Coordinate and manage all aspects of document production, discovery responses, and organize litigation support materials such as hearing and trial notebooks.
• Case Management Support: Maintain attorney calendars, monitor case deadlines, and ensure timely electronic filings and compliance with court orders.
• File Organization: Organize, maintain, and manage electronic and physical client files, ensuring proper storage, indexing, and record-keeping within practice management systems.
• Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance, including coordinating travel arrangements, managing meetings, processing expense reimbursements, and assisting with billing matters.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role is intended for a career legal assistant or paralegal; high school diploma or GED required, with an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or paralegal certificate preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting attorneys in a litigation-focused law practice, with extensive experience in electronic filing in Texas state and federal courts.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of legal terminology, legal documents, court procedures, and litigation processes; exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience in construction litigation, commercial litigation, insurance defense litigation, labor and employment law, or business transactions; proficiency with Centerbase or similar legal practice management systems; experience supporting litigation matters from inception through trial.
