Litigation Legal Assistant | AMS Staffing Inc.
The Tone:
This is a permanent, full-time role for a client of AMS Staffing Inc., located in Irvine, CA. This position provides essential administrative and litigation support, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of legal processes for attorneys. The role is critical for maintaining organized case files, adhering to court deadlines, and facilitating the daily workflow within a litigation environment, directly contributing to the success of legal matters.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Court Rule Management: Research and apply court rules, local rules, and judge’s rules for accurate calendaring and cross-checking using specialized software.
• Electronic Filing: Execute eFiling procedures for State and Federal courts, including creating tables of authority, bookmarking exhibits, redacting documents, and Bates stamping.
• Administrative Coordination: Manage attorney travel arrangements, process expense reports, and accurately enter attorney timesheets.
• General Office Support: Provide other administrative type duties as assigned to support the legal team’s daily operations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with some college coursework preferred. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Litigation/Legal Assistant in a litigation environment.
• Experience: Must have hands-on experience in calendaring using specialized software such as eDockets, Milana, or CompuLaw. Demonstrated proficiency in eFiling procedures for both State and Federal courts is essential.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking and attention to detail are required, alongside excellent proof-reading skills and the ability to effectively multi-task. Proficiency in MS Office 365 Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) is mandatory.
• Bonus: Experience in labor and employment law is preferred, though not required for the right candidate.
