What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Support attorneys on litigation matters from inception through trial within a niche area of law.
• Prepare: Prepare various legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and trial documents.
• Manage: Manage legal calendaring, monitor litigation deadlines, and perform state court electronic filing procedures.
• Organize: Organize and prioritize multiple competing tasks while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and confidentiality.
• Communicate: Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with attorneys, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Career level: Early-Mid. Core domain knowledge in legal assistant functions, with a focus on civil litigation.
• Experience: 3+ years of legal assistant experience in a law firm, specifically supporting litigation matters from inception through trial.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of state court e-filing procedures, legal calendaring, preparing legal documents, and excellent organizational skills.
• Bonus: Proficiency with specific legal and office technology including LawToolBox, Zoom, and document management systems; ability to support multiple attorneys; must be able to commute to Tustin, California.
