What You’ll Actually Do
• Legal Document Drafting and Preparation: Expertly prepare and draft a comprehensive range of legal documents, including but not limited to pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence. This involves ensuring all documents are meticulously accurate, adhere strictly to legal formatting, and meet all submission deadlines for high-stakes litigation.
• State Court E-Filing Management: Take full responsibility for executing all electronic filings within various state court systems. This requires a thorough understanding of each court’s specific E-filing protocols, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely submission of all necessary legal documents.
• Federal Court E-Filing Management: Confidently manage and complete electronic filings for matters proceeding in federal courts. This involves navigating the unique requirements and platforms of federal court E-filing systems, guaranteeing precision and adherence to federal procedural rules for all submissions.
• Attorney Calendar and Schedule Coordination: Proactively oversee and manage complex attorney calendars and schedules. This includes coordinating depositions, court appearances, client meetings, internal conferences, and critical deadlines, ensuring attorneys are consistently organized, prepared, and informed of their commitments.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Demonstrated experience providing dedicated legal support within a litigation-focused environment, ideally within a sophisticated legal firm setting where high-profile cases are managed. The role requires an individual who can contribute to the efficient handling of complex legal processes.
• Experience: Proven capability in diligently managing large caseloads, showcasing strong organizational and prioritization skills. Specialized experience in commercial litigation, mass torts, or product liability matters is considered a significant asset and highly preferred.
• Skills: Exceptional proficiency in preparing and drafting a wide range of legal documents; a strong command of e-filing procedures for both state and federal courts; and superior organizational, time management, and communication skills essential for managing attorney calendars and intricate schedules.
