The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Stealth, located in Houston, TX. The firm maintains a reputation for delivering sophisticated, results-driven legal counsel to contractors, developers, owners, lenders, and businesses across a wide range of industries. This Litigation Associate role is critical for contributing to the firm’s growing Houston office and upholding its commitment to high-quality legal services for clients.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, Houston, TX
• Pay: $150000–$225000 yearly
• Mission: This person manages all phases of litigation to deliver sophisticated, results-driven legal counsel to clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Pleadings: Prepare and file initial pleadings and responses, taking charge of crucial foundational legal documents.
• Discovery Management: Manage and oversee all aspects of the discovery process, including propounding and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Depositions: Conduct and defend depositions, preparing witnesses and examining opposing parties and experts throughout the litigation lifecycle.
• Motions & Hearings: Draft and argue a variety of motions, preparing for and representing clients effectively at court hearings.
• Case Strategy: Work collaboratively with senior attorneys on complex, multi-party disputes, contributing to overall case strategy and client representation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Applicants must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. This role is intended for an associate-level professional with foundational knowledge and experience in the field of litigation.
• Experience: A minimum of one to five years of demonstrated litigation experience gained specifically within a law firm setting is required. Texas Bar admission is also required.
• Skills:
• Legal Research: Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive legal research using various databases and resources.
• Legal Writing: Exceptional skills in drafting clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents, including briefs, motions, and correspondence.
• Oral Advocacy: Strong capability in presenting arguments effectively and confidently in court, at depositions, and during hearings.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in all legal work, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in case management and documentation.
• Priority Management: Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively in a demanding legal environment while meeting deadlines.
• Bonus: Prior experience specifically within construction, commercial, or real estate litigation will be considered a significant asset, though it is not a mandatory requirement for this role.
