This Litigation Assistant position directly supports this mission by working closely with lead attorneys and litigation paralegals to ensure efficient workflow and meticulous preparation of all case materials.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Management & Logistics: Perform essential administrative duties to ensure smooth legal operations, including accurately scheduling calendar hearings, managing critical deadlines, organizing comprehensive case files, and coordinating all necessary logistical arrangements.
• Document Indexing & Control: Systematically maintain pleadings and discovery indexes. This also involves meticulously organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices, along with managing all documents within filing systems for optimal accessibility.
• Legal Drafting & Proofreading: Draft and meticulously proofread a variety of legal documents and correspondence, such as pleadings and contracts, ensuring precision and adherence to professional standards.
• Client & Witness Relations: Coordinate and facilitate communication with clients and witnesses, taking responsibility for scheduling important meetings, conducting interviews, and arranging depositions to gather vital case information.
• Legal Research Support: Conduct thorough research into relevant regulations, laws, and legal articles. The findings from this research directly assist attorneys and paralegals in preparing reports, detailed case files, and providing informed legal advice.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Entry-Level opportunity. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED as a fundamental educational requirement.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant is required, with a preference for this experience to have been gained within a law firm setting or a corporate legal department.
• Skills: The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational capabilities, strong written and verbal communication skills (including good presentation skills), and the ability to efficiently multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage their workload effectively with minimal supervision.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, a Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate. Experience in specific legal practice areas such as Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party, or other injury-related fields is also highly valued.
