This Legal Assistant position is a critical part of the firm’s dedicated support staff, ensuring prompt and efficient service. The role contributes significantly to all phases of litigation and bankruptcy matters, from their initial stages through to final resolution, thereby supporting the firm’s mission of outstanding client service.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Precisely draft, proofread, and thoroughly edit various legal documents and professional correspondence.
• Attorney Support: Proactively manage critical deadlines, oversee docketing processes, and coordinate effectively with clients and court personnel to ensure comprehensive attorney support.
• Client Interaction: Maintain the highest level of professionalism and a consistently client-focused approach in all verbal and written interactions.
• Document Management: Actively assist with efficient document management systems and contribute to the successful implementation of firm-wide technology initiatives.
• Specialized Support: Perform select paralegal duties, leveraging prior experience and skills as required by specific matters.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An experienced professional possessing a strong, nuanced grasp of complex legal documents, coupled with excellent proofreading capabilities. A solid and practical understanding of litigation and bankruptcy processes, including proficiency in electronic court filings, is essential for this role.
• Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of verifiable experience gained within a law firm setting. Required proficiency extends to various legal technologies, electronic filing systems, and the full Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skills: Demonstrably strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities, along with excellent communication skills for clear and effective interactions. This role requires proficiency with legal technology and electronic filing systems, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Bonus: Prior professional background in Commercial, Banking and Finance, Bankruptcy, Creditor/Debtor Rights, or Appellate litigation would be a distinct advantage.
