Job Description:
The Lifestyle PR Intern role at PURPLE New York provides an opportunity to work with luxury lifestyle brands across arts & culture, design, travel, real estate, and food and beverage. The intern will gain experience in influencer relations, media monitoring, event coordination, and brand strategy within the high-end beauty space. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, enthusiastic about hospitality, art, and design, and interested in a public relations career.
Key Responsibilities:
• Proactively monitor all media (print, digital, and social) for brand coverage and competitor activity.
• Prepare clips of secured client coverage by creating a clean and cohesive image, gathering viewership data, and calculating the estimated value.
• Conduct industry research to identify emerging trends within the travel, restaurant, and design spaces and create reports summarizing results.
• Provide support on administrative tasks including audits, invitation lists, and updating databases.
• Analyze the influencer landscape to identify targets for ongoing campaigns and events.
• Compile media lists of lifestyles press across digital, print and broadcast.
• Develop skills to draft pitches and story angles using an effective approach.
• Facilitate the smooth running of the day-to-day function of each account team providing support as requested and required.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is required.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Effective digital communication across email and Microsoft Teams.
• Works well within a team.
• Detail Oriented.
• Eagerness and dedication to learn more about the lifestyle industry is essential.
Intern Payment and Working Hours:
• This is an unpaid internship.
• The company will provide experience that meets the criteria for academic credit and will complete any paperwork provided by the student to obtain course credit from an accredited academic institution.
• A minimum of 15 hours per week in office is required.
