Job Description: Life Sciences Industry Principal
Snowflake seeks a Life Sciences Industry Principal to join their Global Industry Go-to-Market team. This team comprises subject matter experts from the life sciences industry who play both internal strategy and external customer-facing roles. Their purpose is to provide industry context and establish credibility for Snowflake’s ability to deliver on business use cases and outcomes within the life sciences sector.
Responsibilities:
• Account Strategy & Relationship Building: Develop account strategies for Snowflake’s most strategic life sciences accounts, fostering trusted relationships with C-level executives and presenting Snowflake’s industry vision.
• Content Creation & Ecosystem Development: Build customer-facing industry content and cultivate strategic relationships within the life sciences ecosystem, including customers, partners, and data providers.
• Go-to-Market Strategy & Enablement: Collaborate with industry architect and marketing teams to create and execute a cohesive industry go-to-market strategy. Lead internal “industry communities of practice” to strengthen life science industry enablement.
• Product Roadmap Influence: Partner with industry architect teams to prioritize and deliver industry-specific capabilities in future product roadmaps, influencing Snowflake’s product vision within the life sciences market.
• Marketing & Pipeline Development: Work with marketing teams to raise industry awareness and generate pipeline opportunities through thought leadership presentations at industry conferences and trade shows.
• Sales Enablement: Oversee account prioritization and create solution and sales plays to educate and enable sales, sales engineers, pre-sales, and customer success teams.
• Partner Ecosystem Development: Collaborate with partner and alliance teams to identify, recruit, and enable industry-specific system integrators and ISV partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 15+ years of experience in the life sciences industry (either consulting or working directly within the industry).
• Leadership experience in driving programs related to data, analytics, and AI.
• Proven ability to lead change, influence corporate strategy, and build credibility with senior leadership in C-level business environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Undergraduate degree; advanced degree preferred.
• Willingness to travel.
Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated base salary range is $222,000 – $316,800. The role also includes eligibility for Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan, along with a competitive benefits package encompassing medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k); flexible spending & health savings accounts; paid time off; and other company benefits.
